Default Lets Talk 2010 Draft

Lots of good players going to be coming out of the college ranks the next year and we are going to have a decent 1st round pick for sure. (Top 10 at this point) The player I would like our staff to look at, Taylor Mays form USC. We need some height back there and someone that can knock some people around.

I am sure we are going to need someone to replace Jamal the Wall who is going to be an injury liability. And someone who can raise our pass rush to the next level.

Oh well, help me get over my anger right now and give me some repsonses!

They brought it up last night (I think it was Gruden) how about a replacement for Jamal Williams or Igor Olshansky! Two HUGE losses that have greatly impacted the defense this year.

We also need to think about Nick Hardwick as well. He had 2 injuries in 2 year that has sidelined him for many months.

Offense can not be productive when you center is constantly getting hurt. Just a bad situation all around.

Gruden loves San Diego. I hope he decides to come by and coach.

Shawn Cody from Alabama would be a nice fit at nose guard. He looks like he could play right now in the league. He is a beast. 2 blocked field goals?? He just ate those linemen up.

With the recent developments on the running back front any thoughts about Jonathan Dwyer out of Georgia Tech? Being a Maryland Terps fan and watching the ACC I've seen Dwyer play. He's a STRONG straight ahead runner with good speed for a big guy.

I have a feeling we are not going to draft a running back but trade for one.

so with LT and Sproles both gone Michael Bennett is now at the top of the depth chart. If someone were going to be picked up in free agency who would fit?

I still think a RB would be worthwhile to draft to have them grow within the system.

We absolutely need a new running back. Even though we tendered Sproles, look up his stats he only has 199 carries in his ENTIRE career. That is less than LT had last year alone.

Michael Bennett is gone now, he has been cut.

What do you guys think about trying to trade up to get CJ Spiller? Probably won't be available past 10 - 12. May have to give up next years first rounder. Not sure if that would be worth it.

I wouldn't want to cash out on next years draft to get someone this year. Sproles and a mid-level free agent should be able to power the team as long a a couple of young work horse style backs are drafted this year to grow within the system!

I am still on the Toby Gerhart bandwagon. Draft him, he is a beast!
