    Hi,

Im more or less a greenhorn to the ol Fantasy Football thing, and already after 1 week, am in a bit of a quandry over what to do next week...

First off my week 3 roster:

    QB - R. Gannon (TB) T. Green
RB - S. Alexander (SF) K. Barlow (Sea) T. Jones (Min)
    WR - B. Stokley(GB) C. Chambers (Pit) C. Johnson (Bal) P. Burress (Mia)
    C. Wilson (SF)
    TE - B. Franks (IND)
    K - P. Dawson (NYG)
    DEF - Jax
    2 OPEN..

    (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, K, TE, DEF)

    It's a 12 team league
    Suggestions anyone?

*Update- 9-23 Looking for advice on starting RB/WR for week 3 and advice for filling 2 open spots... Best available: B.Lloyd(just put on waivers), Colbeart, Clayton, Suggs/Green. Also, Todd Heap's owner put him on waiver... Would it be a decent idea to claim him and dump franks when he comes back? I have no faith in the pack, and have gotten nothing from TE.

Ok, first off, what the hell are you doing with a backup TE? I know it's a 12 team league, but still, there's no need for a backup TE. Drop Wiggins and get Maurice Morris.

If you're going to have the NYG defense, you may as well have no defense at all. There has to be something better out there. If not, drop them. They'll still be there when the Vikes have their bye week. Get a WR like Streets, Stokley, or Burleson.

    Ok, a couple things:

First, see if there is anyone better than Gannon (but still a starting QB) out there. Save those two TD passes, he played pretty poorly in my opinion. If he keeps that up, Collins will take his spot. Second, unless you have a DL spot, drop Steve Smith. As Chevy said, get rid of the Giants D. See if you can get maybe..the Skins D, the Packers' D, or even the Jags D. Regardless, there has to be something better out there or just leave it until the vikes' bye week. Yeah, getting Mo Morris might not be a bad idea, at least as a temporary fix.

well....I don't see Gannon having that great of a game

but then again...when in question...go with your primetime players...

so yea...Gannon should be your play...even though I think Green is due to come back to at least decent numbers soon...

Since you have open spots, pick up Heap also I like Clayton from Tampa. He's not great so far, but he is one of the few good weapons the Bucs have on offense.

    Starting wise:

Green - plays a weak D at home. Though his WR's are weak and hurt, he is a better fit than Gannon against a pretty good Tampa D.

RB- Alexander and Jones - Barlow is close to Jones so it is basically a gut feeling. Supposedly Barlow has a slight rib injury which could hinder him slightly. Barlow also plays a tougher D than Jones. But it is a close call.

WR - Johnson, Chambers, and Clayton if you get him off of waivers. - You 3rd WR choices are pretty bad. Clayton should help it a little. Burress can be good, but is very inconsistent. Clayton has lead the Bucs in receiving the first two games.

Any chance there are any decent QB's on the waiver wire?

Drew Brees and Dorsey/Rattay. There was one tool in our draft that drafted qb's for all his backups....

Than I would stick with what I had suggestd in terms of waiver pickups.

Yeah, in one of my leagues a guy picked 3 qb's in the first 6 rounds. Made no sense since we can only play 1 and Daunte was his first choice. Like you'll sit him unless it is his bye week. Anyway. . .

Well, I finally won one... (Kudos to Mr. Stokley :D)

Anyway, I have been jawing over who to start this week.

QB: T. Green vs. Bal, or B. Roethlisberger vs. Cin
RB: K. Barlow vs. Stl, A. Stecker vs. Ariz, T. Jones vs. Philly, Alexander
WR: C. Johnson vs. Pit, P. Burress vs. Cin, B. Stokley vs. Jax,
    K. Colbeart vs Atl, C. Chambers vs. NYJ

I made the mistake of starting Gannon last week instead of Green, However I still have doubts about KC vs. Bal in general...

    Suggestions?
